The Lodge is located on a man made island in the Glengarriff River, created by the Earl of Bantry to created a secret natural hideaway on his vast estates.

Recently refurbished to a luxury standard by the current owners, the Lodge has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 8 adults with ease. We had a wonderful stay in the house and grounds which were second to none. We were very impressed with the quality of the finishes in the house and cannot speak highly enough of our stay.

We have had a wonderful week.
The weather has been superb. Days have been filled with visits to Garnish Island, The Bamboo Garden, Sheep’s Head Peninsula, Beara Peninsula and Dereen Gardens. The drive over the Healy Pass is spectacular. At the end of each day we returned to this lovely setting. The warmth and sunshine made paddling and swimming in the river particularly pleasurable. However the logs in the living room were also a reminder of how cosy it would be in the colder months of the year also.
A lovely property in an excellent location.
